I was fortunate to take a cruise in New Zealand and Tasmania, Australia over the Christmas/New Year holiday. I have always wanted to go to that part of the world and decided I was not going to wait any more. While on a tour to the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves on the North Island of New Zealand I noticed what looked like orchids blooming in a tree. After investigating, I determined that the flowers were indeed an orchid species Earina mucronata. I really enjoy seeing orchids in the wild.

So glad you were able to take that great trip and what a bonus to see these orchids!
Thank you all. It was a great trip. I highly recommend visiting New Zealand if you can. It is a stunningly beautiful country with very interesting geology and culture as well as flora/fauna.
