Just couldn't resist taking a pup from a friend when I saw her plant in bloom. After 8 months - here is my new baby in bloom!!

Very pretty, but I'll admire it from a distance. AV's don't like me.

    Default AV!

These hate me to. I end up buying a couple every Spring and tossing them by the end of Fall because they look so sad.

HOWEVER, my phals looks beautiful. So much for the old saying, "If you can grow an AV, you can grow a phal."

LOL, Clint! The old saying might be true, but perhaps it should read:

"If you can grow an AV, you can grow a phal.
If you can't grow an AV, you can still grow a phal."

If you really would like to grow AVs, invest in those self watering ceramic pots - the ones with the pot inside a pot. Use AV plant soil, and AV food.. And then just let the selfwatering pot do the rest... Oh, and bright light without direct sun. Don't let leaves get wet at all, don't let damp soil touch stems or leaves... watch out for mealies.... hmmm that's about it.

How Pretty. I haven't grown AV in many year. I would ask you to send me a leaf but I think that it would not make the trip.

I'll start a couple leaves of different plants for you. Send them to you when they show new growth. Do it all the time.. it's fun to share!!
