Natural spread of each flower is 4 ½ inches . If they were dead flat it would be 6 inches.
But as my mom taught me a few (!) years ago, "if ifs and ands were pots and pans, all the whole world would be tinkers"... but I don't think that many people now would even know what a tinker was. ( He was an itinerant travelling mender of holes in buckets and saucepans - and who can even imagine doing that at all, in todays disposable society ? 0
All this philosophy stuff is because I can't think of anything to say - except, - I like this cattleya, hope you do.
Yes, beautiful Cattleya.

Beautiful! I love the rich purple next to the yellow-green in the lip.
and I always enjoy reading your musings and information about your orchids!

Pretty flowers and thanks for the quote and tidbit of education. Always love learning something new.
I like the lip as the color is so beautiful with the white background.
Well done Geoff on both the orchid and words of wisdom!
