    Default Trying something new?

Hi Guys. Not been around on here for a while and now having the time during this lockdown to get back online again. Phals have been my experience up to now, but I am interested in moving on to another choice of orchid to suit the UK weather which is unprodictable to say the least. This to be grown indoors as I do not have the ideal area as yet for the best humid conditions.
Would appreciate ideas and recomendations as a learner for a easier flowering specimen. Thanks guys. Rex.

One specific recommendation is Eurichone rothschildiana. Culture is similar to Phals. and looks like a ruffled leaf Phal. It is something definitely different and the bonus is that the flowers have a lovely cinnamon fragrance. Also, have you tried any Paphs.? Many are similar to Phals. with regards to cultural requirements.

Maybe some highland vanda species like Vanda cristata, alpina also longipitala they are all small plants easy to accommodate in small room.
