Those are good-looking plants Geoff.
Is it like Neofinetia and likes a cold dry winter or is it more like Renanthera?

The cross is Vanda ( Neofinetia) falcata x Renanthera imschootiana.
The falcata is obviously dominant for plant size and habit, for the main (original) growth, now some 5 inches high is surrounded by half a dozen more. So a tufted sort of habit. Probably means that it will only flower a limited (small) number of times on each growth, but that when the other growths are a bit bigger, I can expect (hope ! ) for several of them to flower at the same time. So quite a promising plant, this. Flowers intermediate in size ( between the parents ) maybe 3 or 4 cm tall.
I had some problems in photography ; guess I have grown idle with all these automated features, and forgotten what I used to know about lighting and getting good macro pics. So I ended up with a lot of natural light near a window - its a lovely sunny day today - England at it's best. Wasit Robert Browning who wrote "Oh to be in England, now that April's there " ? Whoever it was, had it right. Its a joy to be (still) alive , in these dangerous times.

I ha been treating it as a Renanthera , and only researched it now. So next winter ( if we have one ! We are due for a heat wave this week they say, and it’s only April) I will test it cold
