Oh, forgot to add how this species grows... primarily, this one is in fact an epiphyte, except that is grows on the top side of larger branches and then it bends outward... I personally have not yet heard of a vertical mounting of this species in nature... that may explain it's slowness in growth if mounted vertically in cultivation... Selby has their Holotype and Isotype in hanging baskets with a mix which is still decomposing, and has native mosses growing on top, in case the media would like to be reproduced...

That's funny Pat! Mine did the upright mount thing reluctantly in different levels of light. It preferred less direct light for sure.

After potting this summer, it had the semi-pendulous slouch, beacuse of the angle of the canes to the roots from the mounting; but that's when things took off. I assumed it was simply the moisture to the roots, but who knows - maybe it has a preferred orientation as well! Mine is in NZ long-fiber sphag in a clay pot.
