I would be tempted to mount it since it seems to want to crawl.
Hope you get an ID on it soon.

This is a free rescue orchid that arrived with my most recent purchase. I expected a rescue to have no roots, but this little guy has some good looking ones. I have no idea what he is. He has firm leaves like a catt. It looks like he's either climbing, or has a couple keikis...Im not sure how to pot him with those wild roots going every which way.
Any ideas as to what he its?

Looks like Cattleyopsis Clara.
Mike, mounting sounds like a good idea.i haven't done it before because I can't water every day. But i expect to have my greenhouse by the end of the summer' so i will try it.. im working on permitting for the greenhouse. Its quite delayed due to the permit office being closed until last week and the manufacturing can't begin til I have the permit.
Zain, a cattleyopsis would be lovely! I've never seen one but I looked them up. This is going to be a fun challenge to grow and bloom

Another possible one is Caularthron species.
Mount it with a bunch of sphagnum around the roots to retain some moisture.
Can't wait to see what it really is man.
I mounted it to a small cedar branch in May. Its grown a couple tiny roots but it doesnt seem at all interested in attaching to the branch. Ill post a picture in a day ot two
