My lovely ball Hmm just let it keep growing in a ball? And the fragrance is heavenly!
Beautiful display!. Love the lips on these.

Wonderful.
I think you should let it grow like that. But when it has stopped blooming, take a couple of pieces and mount each separately. It is better to take cuttings now while the mother plant is looking good. I waited too long with my Brassavola Little Stars and now I have to wait for my four cuttings to start blooming. Luckily they grow fast though. The rest of the plant just had to go.
Thank you Susan!

Hi Arne! Thank you for that advice and I will try to do a few small divisions. I do want to ask you if that is the official name of this orchid - Brassovola Little Stars? I had a nodosa many moons ago and thought this was one, but maybe not?
So you mean that the one you have isn't nodosa?
Brassavola Little Stars is the official name of one of the most common hybrids that looks like nodosa but has more flowers. Some time ago there was a good thread in this forum on Little Stars and similar hybrids:
https://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchi...t=Little+Stars
On the top of page 2 in the thread you will find a terrific summary by PaphMadMan. So if it is a hybrid that looks like nodosa but has more flowers than nodosa then most likely it is Little Stars. I have both a Little Stars and a Grand Stars and maybe the latter has a tendency to larger flowers but I'm not sure I can see any difference.
