    Default Seedlings and viruses?

So after having two of my three cattleyas test positive for virus, I have started growing some seedling catts after hearing that they are less likely to carry virus, because virus is not passed through sexual reproduction in orchids. Can anyone confirm this? My first is about to bloom and several flowers Spunky little sucker! can't wait to see it.

I fear waiting for them to bloom, only to see signs of virus on the flowers :/ Paranoid now

I have heard the same thing, but I don’t believe it is true.

If either parent is virused, why wouldn’t the offspring be, as well?

Now then, it may be that, statistically, a seedling is less likely to be virused, as it has had less time to have been exposed to viruses in general, than has a more mature plant.
