Hey, Jack.
Can you tell us about your photography setup?
As I use a macro lens when photographing and normally I have constant wind in my orchid area I have setup a small studio in my converted garage to take my photos. I use Lightroom and Photo Shop to process them, I will use luminosity mask for darkness, shadows and highlights. The only time I adjust colors is when my lighting system works against the colors in the orchids so then I will either increase or decrease the saturation and luminosity of that given color but will never change a color. Because I am doing macro photos I use a process called focus stacking on most photos to make a clear photo of the entire image, that can be a combination of at least 2 or more photos of different areas that I then use a program to merge them into one image. The whole process can be time consuming but being retired it gives me something that I enjoy doing! It took me more then a year to finally get the old brain to understand just what needed to be done to accomplish what I was looking for, but well worth it and I also proved you can teach an old dog a new trick!! I am still trying to learn more as I think there are some things I could do to improve my photos.
What stacking program do you use?
