Not sure if the is the place to post this:
My chihuahua died the day before Easter last year. Then we had another loss the day before Father's day. Times were rough emotionally. My wife had a co-worker that had a dog that gave birth to a litter of 6 pups born 5 July. There were 4 males, and 2 females. The males had very short fur, and the two females had longer and lighter color fur to the point that they didn't look like they came from the same litter. My wife knew I wanted a female, and took the smallest pup from the batch. In the photo she looks so cute and cuddly, but if you look at the eyes - those are rascal eyes. She has very sharp teeth. The vet explained to us that if you remove a pup from the litter, they will find a substitute for their litter mates. That is the person that they play more roughly with - she only bites me, so I guess I must be it. Here is Chloe from when she was 5 weeks old.
Here she is at 5 months having a belly rub.
