Default An app to help monitor Orchids?

    Hello,

Just curious, are you guys using an Application to monitor your orchids?

There are various apps that are now available to help taking care of our plants but I'm not sure those apply with orchids too. Thanks in advance!

I need to give them some 'personal' time so I don't lose track of what they need or what they are doing.

Hello, not particularly for orchids but I used to use PictureThis to check my sick plants. It has nice and detailed plant care guides.

Thanks for all the feedback, I just hope to have an app to help me with my responsibilities to these fine specimens, and I'm truly aware of the time needed to spend with our orchids. I do found this Vera app and it is really cute, but it's literally just an inventory of your plants (the picture albums of each plant are nice) and watering and that's it. If it had fertilization too that might be all I need for it to be useful and simple, but it doesn't.

Ps, I'm definitely checking that PictureThis app later.

There are collection-logging apps out there, but I know of none that provide cultural information.

I am thinking about switching to another app (currently using plant care reminder) because I cannot backup data and move it to another phone. I have 150+ plants saved there so I'm a bit pissed about it. Do you know if any of them have a backup or export/import or cloud feature?

Yes! Garden Manager, Vera, gardenize, and Plantr all have data backup. Vera and Gardenize both have you create an account which automatically backs things up, while the rest of them have buttons you have to manually choose to go hit to back up data.

I go outside about 4 times a day this time of year and check em out. I only have about 30 orchids so it works! Can monitor grasshopper activities, ants nibbling, etc Find new spikes, watch buds develop and open, all kinds of stuff to see this time of year.
