    Default Stapelia Gigantea

    Wanted to share this weird plant with you. It is pollinated by flies!! I had seen one and mentioned it to a friend. She happened to have one and gave me a piece. It grew quickly, the buds developed quickly and now I've put it outside. A very yucky smell!! But what a cool plant!

    I think they are pretty cool! We have one too and it just bloomed again. Yours looks so healthy!

    Thank you Zain! It's so good to see you here! Stapelia gigantea, commonly called carrion flower, is a spine-free succulent member of the milkweed (not cactus) family that is native to dry desert areas. I have milkweed that looks nothing like this
