I got my flasks from the lab few weeks ago. The plantlets look good and are strong with good roots. The laboratory has the overproduction on sale. That is why I decided to register them at RHS.
The second I named Phalaenopsis Okerperle.
Seed is Phal. Chiada Francis 'Picotee' and Pollen is Phal. Lioulin Hot Lip. Here are pics from the Parents:

I am very curious to see how the flowers of the descendants will bloom.
That ought to be an interesting cross.
Thank you for the positive expert opinion.
The parents sure are nice! It should be a very lovely cross
Here is a first flowering shoot of Phal. LuHa Okerperle from November 2024
And the same from December 2024
I gave a plantlet to my friend Anita in Summer 2022. It was pottet in a 12 cm pott in coconut soil.
About one year later she changed the medium to pine bark.
Due to the energy crisis from 2023, both Anita and I were unable to cultivate the plants so warmly in the cool season.(max 18 C) This may be the reason why the plants start flowering later than expected.
Both photos were taken by Anita.
My own plants of Phal. LuHa Okerperle have also developed well but there are no flower shoots yet.
Nice to see some progress, isn?t it.
But I must confess I didn?t realize how much the energy situation during the last 2-3 years actually affected people in Germany. I visit Sweden twice a year and I have observed the increase in energy costs in Sweden of course. But that?s it. Maybe no one wanted to tell me the truth.
