That looks really nice. It is starting to get cold here so I had to move everything back into the greenhouse. I love your setup and bet your vandas do too!
cheers,

I spent about 6 hours this morning redoing my shade canopy area where all of my vandas and a few other hanging plants grow. I raised the left side support by at least 2 feet and it is so much nicer! It looks better, the plants will grow better, and the layout construction is much stronger now.
I have attached a couple of pictures. I call this plant area 'the oasis'.

You are right. We are in such a humid climate (even now that the nights are getting cooler-- by cooler I mean 20 degrees C) that the water just drips off the plants. The long roots get watered without watering. There is so little maintenance to do. My biggest challenge is the snails and slugs that love to devour the plants on the ground. But I found a very inexpensive chemical to simply add to the soil that is 100% safe to all plants. The snails suck the chemical and die right on the spot. Thanks again!
