Hi there! A relative gave me this encyclia (about a month ago) as a gift because she's moving of house. This morning started to open its first flowers. Of course, the plant lacks an ID tag.
Here're some pictures.
My best bet is Encyclia diurna. I think of this one because the plant's bulbs have between 1-3 leaves. My other guess will be E. ceratistes but this one can carry up to 4 leaves (from what I've read) and none pseudobulb of my plant have more than 3 leaves. Flowers of those both are very similar to be honest. I can feel some sort of scent but cannot tell more about it yet, on my experience with orchids, the scent gets stronger in the upcoming days.
I know is always "difficult" to tag an orchid because there could be a lot of hybrids, but any hint about this one would be appreciated as you guys here have more experience than meThanks!
