    Default Is this insect bite or virus?

    Hi all,

    Do you have any idea what happen to the flower? It is the 1st time blooming and when it blooms on day 1 it was looking good but after that there are these spots / stains. Are they bitten by something or it is virus?


    Please advice.

    I'm wondering if this is the result of the tips of the flowers being stuck together when the bud was trying to open. It happens a lot with certain Cattleya and Laelia. I use to spray the buds with water to dissolve the sugary residue holding the buds together.
