These two just came into bloom for us.
The first one is called, Dor. Plucherrima 'Champorensis' v. alba
We have only been growing this for a little over a year. I think it looks like a lion roaring.
Next is Dor. Pulcherrima x self
We grew this compot for the last 10 -11 years. I thought it was never going to bloom, and then voila, here it is. Only one bud has opened, so after it gets a few more open, I will photograph it again. These tiny flowers are so hard to photograph.
Cheers!

I do't believe there is an fragrance. Honestly though, the cattleyas were stinking so much this afternoon, I could not smell anything but them.Originally Posted by Molly Taco

Very nice flowers BD. I also see the lion head !
Ten to eleven years before it bloomed? Wow...that redefines patience!
Very pretty, Bruce - almost worth the wait!

We grew them from tiny seedlings. Although, they probably should have bloomed a long time ago. I guess we finally got the conditions right.Originally Posted by Piper
