This is my first almost earned bloom. I bought this plant from a vendor who came to our OS meeting. It said "in spike" so I asked a few people around me to point out the spike. No one could, but I was told I could indeed ruin it with bad care. So I was careful and it spiked and this is the first bloom. I have one more bud and I *think* I have another bud hiding beside the 2nd bud.... *crossing fingers*!!

So Pretty and I love the colors.

Very nice! It's a great cross that is often seen with much darker red in the petals and pouch. I think that makes it look more dragon like... congrats on getting the spike through!!
nice! surely made with besseae flavum?
That is a pale 1.Very nice .
You will probably get a lot more flowers , as each new flowers opens a new bud will form above it.
Very nice! I love the pale pink. I think Jason's nailed where that comes from.
Nice job, Kirstie!

Congratulations! It is lovely! And just because it was spike initiated when you bought it, doesn't necessarily mean that *everyone* can bring it to bloom, Nice Work!
Cheers!

Its besseae x Grande.
Well Done!
And for what it's worth, I've managed to get spikes on my Phrags but they never fully get to the whole flower thing... so you've definitely done something right!
