    Question Dendrobium--BARE NAKED CANES

Did I just make a mistake when I stripped all the old leaf sheaths from my Dendrobium canes? They look a lot prettier, and now the green canes must be photosynthesizing (sp?) as well as the leaves....?Right?

It doesn't matter if you remove the old sheaths, or not.I have a habit of removing them on my cattleyas. It just makes it easier to check on pests, or what not.

It was a bother to remove them but as long as I didn't do any harm it's ok. They look better and I only have two dens.
