Got this shot last night of my moon vine, it almost looks like velvet silk.

I am vine crazy. So far under control as we don't have a yard. I have most of my vines in one pot LOL!
That really does look like silk! And it looks like it smells wonderful!

    BD.
It blooms at night fall, you can actually watch it unfurl and in the morning it is all done. The smell while it is open is out of this world.

The flowers are really large, too, aren't they? They resemble a morning glory, but the ones I've seen are about 5" or so across. Never had the chance to smell them - what do they smell like, Cin???

The blooms are between 5-6" and smell much like any evening scented flower, sweet and heavy. I happen to like the scent, there is a black spanish soap that has captured the fragrance perfectly.
