    Being a beer drinker, I toss a bit of stale beer into the water whenever I don't finish one off. Certainly doesn't hurt.

    oncidiums - nothing, cymbidiums - orchid ferts, everything else - miracle gro, just started using superthrive for weak rooted plants.

    I do a mix of a mix for African Violets, a time release fertilizer, and just a little cow manure.

    Of course now I have found that miracle grow makes their own mix for Orchids specifically and my cutomers rave so much I need to try it at home.
