You are right, Julie it deserves it's own thread plus it is orange so it has to be beautiful.

This is a primary hybrid between Ada aurantiaca a bright orange species related to the spider orchids x Brassia verrucosa. The genus is Brassada.
Diane posted pics not too long ago when hers was in bloom, but I had to jump through so many hoops before a certain vendor would send me one in spike, that I figured it's earned its own thread!

I love the color! Boy you sure had your plants walking the runway today Julie!
Looks great! Of course, it's Orange, so it would look great!!!
Thanks, all!
The color intensified dramatically as the flowers matured. I wonder if aurantiaca does that, similar to Bl. Richard Mueller hybrids.
It opened more a greenish yellow, but I kept showing it pictures of Diane's urging, "Do this, do this!" And it obeyed!!! That its nearest neighbor took the long walk to the salad shooter really snapped the color up in no time...

I'm drooling all over my keyboard. Has to go on my wish list!
Oh Julie, that is so beautiful. I really love that orange.

Very nice!
It is indeed the orchid show of the day, presented by Miss Julie!!!
Cheers. Hoa.
Thanks, Doc Spock! As we now have two Julies on the forum, I shall adopt Mehera's suggested moniker and sign off as McJulie. Of course, technically that would be incorrect. 'Mac' and 'Mc' come from the Gaelic, 'Mhic,' which means, 'child of.' But hey...literary license!
