so, someone thought that by sending me to another city (Melbourne) when an orchid show was on in Sydney would stop me from buying any more orchids...
Nothing can stop this addiction!!!!
so, I visited an orchid place in Melbourne and found these two... thankfully I didn't have to carry them on the plane with me...
1. Cymbidium Valley Olympic 'Pink Perfection'
a most beautiful pink... this in fact has received an Award of Merit from the Australian Orchid Council.
2. Cymbidium Valley Regent 'Reggae'
this would have come home with me even if I had to buy another seat on the plane to put it in!!! The colour is so dark!!!
well.... that's all folks...
cheers

Again, I was loving the first one until I saw the second. The colors are so deep and rich! Great buys! Fragrant?
Julie
Very nice Tim. Getting stuck on reds, eh?
If any of my new ones are half as pretty as these, they will be worth all the effort!
oh, glad you reminded me Julie... YES, very fragrant and one of the saving grace as that was the first thing Steve noticed and he liked it so he's given an exception to the no more orchids rule
oh another thing... I love mini Cymbidiums... but I couldn't refuse these two... so many Cymbidiums have a pale sickly colour even on reds and pinks, but these just blew me away!
Very nice, Timmy! I see that you like cyms too, huh?
Cheers. Hoa.
...Does that mean they're standards? Or minis and I'm just confused?

Love the second one.

LOL... the red is a standard so Huge-mungous!!! The pink is a large intermediate!
Hoa... if you go through my old posts you will find that I talk about how I hate Cymbidiums... somehow, I've grown to love them... started with a mini called Cym pumilum... which I think is about ready to bloom again so will post when she's good and ready!
