A special event with two featured speakers, Fred Clarke and H. P. Norton.
Fred Clarke---“Cycnoches, Mormodes and Catasetums: Some Current Trends.”
He is currently working in several lines--Cattleya, Paphiopedilum, Catasetinae, Bulbophylum and hybrids for cool to intermediate growing. He efforts have been rewarded with six FCCs from the American Orchid Society . He has achieved recent acclaim for the Fredclarkeara hybrids that are the closest to a true black in orchids.
H. P. Norton---“Phragmipediums” H. P. Norton is an acclaimed breeder and grower of Phalaenopsis and Phragmipediums. Many of his plants have won AOS awards including in 2005, a FCC for his Phrag. Memoria Dick Clements ‘Flashpoint’.
