    Hi Korxi,

You should PM Aaron (ATester) a link to this post. He has researched many home flasking media, and avoids certain ingredients with certain genera of orchids. I'm not positive, but I think he said no coconut with Masds. He's got a lot of experience with this, so check with him.

Also, if you PM me your e-mail address, I can send you a paper on home flasking that I found very informative, whether or not you use its recipe.

    LOL!

Cleaning up the kitchen before home flasking is not nearly as important as cleaning it up afterwards!

Ok here it goes: I scaled down the recipe since I only needed that one jar of medium..

Edit: In between these to steps you should adjust the pH-level of the medium. I didn't do this since I haven't bought those pH measuring sticks you can get for the aquarium yet - but anyways it should be aprox. pH 5.5. Use citric acid

I would love to hear the results if anyone of you guys were to try this medium out! As for now the only (for sure) developing seed pod I have is on my Potinara, Burana Beauty, and I don't know how long time it will take for this to mature but I'm guessing 6 months...

This is great - all you guys doing flasking and compots, etc.! Growers like me really benefit when you all run out of room for all the little plantlets and have to get rid of some "OLD PLANTS" to make room for more experimentation!!

Lets hear it for the symbiotic relationship of mad scientist and instant gratification!!!
