Mine doesnt like too much light... It gets sunburnt really easy, then I take it back to lower light, where I grow my low light Aerangis. The spotting goes away and its happy. Mine blooms a weird cycle it does! Right now, the summer's 4 new growths have sheaths, plus 3 new growths. Last year, it had 3 sheaths that seemed dormant, the outside was papery and dry. Then when the new growth semi matured (it didnt grow as large as teh other growths) and it finished it's putting out it's sheath, they all bloomed! Im counting on 7 spikes this winter.

How strange. We put ours in bright light and when it turns light green, put it back where it hangs normally and it blooms till the cows come home. Seems like the light gives it the boost it needs to bloom. I guess it is important to say we 'grow' it most of the time hanging on the bench by the phals, so so low light for most of the year.

    Cheers,
    BD
