    I hear sandy is rather shade-loving, at least as far as the coryos go. That and platyphyllum.

    Ya. And I found that out the hard way. All I wanted to do was raise a spike. So much for quickies....

    Actually, in nature Paph sanderianums grow in full direct morning sunlight to early afternoon sun and then bright shade the rest of the day. They do require very bright light to bloom. I have seen in-situ pics of Paph sands with their leaves looking burnt and yellow. The same goes for roths but I think roths grow in even more full direct sun.

    Louis,
    We all have a few blemishes in life..your sand. will be fine..after all it is rigid, herculean and uncut! Hope that "quickie", was good for you..it certainly wasn't for the sand. ! It probably will bloom now...too scared not to..probably thinking what's this guy going to try next!
