Default Brassada Bert Fields "Linda Marie Sellon'

This is a raffle plant from an orchid society picnic a few years ago...I think. I know it was a raffle plant. Anyway, this is the second blooming for me. The flowers are opening wider than the last blooming.

Mem. Bert Fields is usually quite orange, but I don't know this cultivar. Yours is blooming at an odd time of year, Kevin. I think Diane's went off in June and mine in July.

    Hi McJulie,

The flowers are really orange. The lighting does not show the true color. Actually, the flowers are turning orange since they started opening four days ago. A lot of my plants do not bloom at their designated times. This is one of them. For instance, Dendrobium Golden Aya is supposed to be a late winter/early spring bloomer. Mine blooms in late fall. My Lycaste deppeii blooms either in the early winter or late spring. So, I usually do not go by when are suppose to bloom. It sometimes works differently for me. Some of my plants are from Bizzaro world.

I hate it when the plants don't read the books and learn what they're supposed to do!

I did neglect to say your Mem Bert Fields is lovely, by the way!

I'm a sucker for rebels, especially orchids. Thanks for the compliment.
