Default How can I bring my orchid back to life?

This is all that is left of a once beautiful orchid. The two small green buds are attached to a piece of lava rock. Can anyone suggest a way to bring this plant back?

looks like a good opportunity for the last resort - sphag it and bag it.
wrap it up nice in wet sphag and seal it in a little bit of plastic. that things dried like crazy!

Yes, and fresh sphagnum to help prevent fungal infections.
