I've been told by a local Thai that this is a member of the Cattleya family. I am suspicious since it has multiple flowers on a stalk similar to Dend.
Again I'm looking for info. in order not to kill them...

No, its not a member of the Cattleya family. Its an Oncidium hybrid. Maybe Oncidium Gower Ramsey or Oncidium Sweet Sugar.

I also think I have more the lady across the soi gave me. No flower to compare though. She says "flowers once a year on a long stem."
