    Default Are Peloric Plants Fertile?

After reading a little at some other forums, a question has been on my mind. Are peloric plants fertile? And if they aren't, is it because they have an extra chromosome? The peloric plants I have in mind mind are Phaleanopsis (formally Doritis I believe) pulcherrima, and Phalaenopsis equestris, and the various peloric Phal hybrids that appear every now and again and supermarkets.

I do believe they are fertile but they do not always pass on the trait .
I have a Phal that will flower with a couple of spikes , some of the flowers will be fully Peloric , some partly & some perfectly normal.
I have a piccie with no peloric traits but cannot find it.
