These are often grown more for their foliage than their flowers. In fact, in Japan, most of these are judged out of bloom!
The first is Mangetsu
This one is Fuukiden

a plant just for the nobilityI have a regular green one for now. In cantonese would these be called fong lan?
Smartie, can you read Chinese? The above plants are called 富贵兰,or Fuukiran。Yours is probably 风兰,or Furan, it is usually not as pettie as Fuukiran and the shape is also not as good.

I don't have too many of these...but it would be quite easy to get totally carried away!
I have been driving myself crazy trying to find a piece of Maizuru. No luck so far. I am hoping next month at the Japan Grand Prix
i can only speak cantonese, but I can't read. i have a regular Neofinetia falcata
...i wish i could get a variegated neofinetia, but I have a varigated Dendrobium moniliforme ‘Tosa Fukurin’. Variegated neofinetia just aren't common here in Canada.
Do you have bonsai too?
Are you going to be in Japan next month for the show? I may be there on business, I missed it last year. Do you know Toshi (the paph person)?
