    Default Phrag. besseae Peach

This just opened. I did not even realise there was a spike on the plant as I thought I had removed them all. This group of plants got left out too late and suffered pretty bad cold damage so I didn't want to stress them out by letting them bloom. This one got by.

This is the Peach version of P. besseae. Some people had speculated that this colouration was the result of the flavum formed crossed with the red form. Speaking to the originator of this form however, he confirms that it is in fact, not the case and that it is the result of a recessive mutation.

Not great form, but really nice colour. HOpefully once the plant re-establishes, it will bloom out much better.

Love the color---glad it snuck by so we could see it! I'm sure under your care the plant will recover nicely!
