Slc. Jewell Box 'Dark Waters' HCC/AOS was a beautiful deep red cattleya with a hint of yellow at the center that was brought in for judging. It had eight to ten stunning blooms on it and was sitting next to a bright yellow cattleya and an old floofy purple cattleya, which really made it stand out in its 'crowd.' A real showy plant that is fairly compact for so many blooms.
Enjoy!
Cheers,
BD

Such a happy, beautiful plant. I have this one on my wish list (it's been there for about 2 years!)

Slc. Jewell Box is exceptional . The one you show is a pure beauty
Beautiful ! Love the color . Gin
Thanks all. I thought it should have won plant of the month, but a large oncid with three- three foot spikes of yellow blooms got that award.

Beautiful and very cheerful color!
Cheers. Hoa.
I still miss mine ... it doesn't seem to be commonly offered at least in my area. Bloomed every February like clockwork.
Love it! It looks like summer -- kinda the color of Tropical Punch! Very nice.
