    Default Penn's Creek Cascade

Here are a couple new pics of my new Penn's Creek Cascade. Still not great, but better than those dark ones. Also you can see the second bloom opening. How cool is that??? So different in person!!

Very nice! I can definitely see the wallisii in that pouch! I love watching the buds open. They appear cocoon like, don't they?

    Definitely an alien unfolding....

That's a really nice plant, H. If I didn't know you got it from Tindara, given that dragonfly clip and all, I would swear it came from us. (You saved on shipping, so I forgive you... LOL!)

Seriously though, very healthy looking plant. You did good!

I know, I felt bad when I realized you had one, but it was unplanned as well. FYI it wasn't labeled as PCC, it was just the cross listed, so I didn't really realize it was the one you'd posted the pics of recently.

Oh, those dragonfly clips? My local *farmstand* just started carrying those! Go figure!

Yes, very reminiscent of wallisii in both pouch (more slender, as opposed to the chunky Grande pouch), and the sepal color (light background, straw green venation)...

I so love the little mauve spots inside the pouch! How coy! And the creamy butter colored parts inside w/ no spots (no *clue* what those are called!)

    Love it!!!

it's part of the pouch--technically the "interior lining of the labellum"...which has been unpoetically described by Marilyn LeDoux of Windy Hill Orchids as "clean toilet bowl white" (at least in wallisii, it's white).

Yes, the insides of my wallisii pouches is pure white, very delicate porcelain looking. They do look like nice and clean toilet bowls! LOL!!!
