Wow that is lovely. I really like the contrast of the yellow lip with the mauve flowers, and the delicate spotting. I can understand your disappointment! Can't wait to see the other pictures.

We went to an Open House at a LARGE nursery in a state neighboring ours yesterday. What a wonderful time...Spent 5 hours wandering around 18 greenhouses---I was in heaven! More pictures to follow (hubby took 300 pics) but wanted to share this one. They opened up a stock greenhouse for a tour and we found this one inside. We loved it---but alas--2 years until it will be available for sale. I'll post elsewhere later about our little field trip and my 15 new orchids---![]()

Where will you put them all, I don't remember seeing your growing area in the thread from last year about how everyone grew their orchids. I assume if you grow them under lights, theya re in the house?
Am very jealous, anyhow.....
Kerry I have a few pics in this thread that were added a few months ago...Where will you put them all, I don't remember seeing your growing area in the thread from last year about how everyone grew their orchids. I assume if you grow them under lights, theya re in the house?

But you are correct--I grow in the house. I have a little light cart built last year (packed more now than in that picture)...plus almost every window has a shelf in front of it PLUS we just put up some rods in front of a few of the windows for hanging orchids (orchids as drapery anyone?). Of course this doesn't include the bathroom...and I think we are up to 90-something orchids. That doesn't include our 3 overwintering banana plants and 20 something other houseplants co-habitating with us.
We were laughing because there was a house outside Atlanta that was recently raided that had been completely converted on the inside to a huge grow area, complete with a watering system, ventilation ducts, and multiple lighting setups (for something illegal of course) If we don't add on our sunroom soon I think we might end up with something similar! Come to think of it, that house might be on the market now...
Lol!
I work for a rather large public service and we frequently get updates on the number of raids carried out in and around london on the very same sort of establishment. I've never thought to ask what they do with all the equipment!
Just found your post - curiously it's the very one that I showed Tom to demonstrate loving husbands making more space for their wife's obssession....![]()
Still don't think that I will get away with the light cart/ shelving unit. I need a bigger flat. No, I need a house!
I also get into trouble with the amount of pots for my garden... But that's another story...![]()
