    Default Phragmipedium schlimii "Cheeky"

This is a nice, small and cute species with grass like foliage and the small flowers are to die for! The flowers to me look similar to our native ladyslippers. My plant is not in bloom but I know Slippah Sistah would love to see the whole plant. It is a matured sized multigrowth plant with a leaf span of about 12 inches or so.

Ah, good name, cheeky like you!

Very nice, thank you for posting for me. Yes, you know how I love seeing your whole plants, Peter! Do you see a lot of the native cyps up there in your woods? Nice!

I'm sure there are plenty out here in the woods but you have to go looking for them. I have only seen them once and it was a regina one, I think. They are very pretty and delicate looking but nothin compared to the more exotic multifloral ones from the Old World.

It hasn't bloomed for me yet but my lindenii self pollinated itself and I cut the spike off because the seed pods were getting bigger everyday!
