    Default Phragmipedium Belle Hougue Point

This a large multigrowth Phrag hybrid that I got from River Valley Orchidworks a couple of months ago. Beautiful healthy plant! If you want one, check out their website right here, excellent well grown plants and their packaging is the best I have ever seen!

I grow mine just like I grow my Grande, same conditions.

What a lucious, well grown plant!!! Very nice, thanks for posting Pete! I do like the long petals on that Phrag.

BTW Pete, my Grande is still a bit floppy.

Still floppy? From the rain and wind, perhaps? If it's floppy, then bring it indoors. I also just remembered that the growth was growing sideways on the mother plant, so it may stay floppy for a while. Just keep it staked. How's the new start on that growth, has it grown any?

re: Grande, yes, the leaf just flopped over in the rain I think. I repropped it on the stake. Not windy here at all. New growth has grown a little. I also have a new leaf on the PEOY (maybe I already told you that tho?)

Yes, you did tell me about the new leaf on your PEOY (the one you got from me, right?)

Yes, wind and rain can keep the Grande floppy. So keep it well staked. Once established, that Grande will grow like a weed and before you know it, its huge with many growths and of course the beautiful golden mutifloral blooms with long petals on tall spikes! you'll love it!
