Default Phal spike growing but no new flowers

    Hello...or....Help!
I got a beautiful Brother Lawrence Phal back in Late March. I am so pleased, I have had flowers for two full months and the actual spike is still growing longer. Question...I thought with it still growing i would have small round things coming out of the nodes as it grew longer but that has not happened. Any ideas? I have it sitting in the window of my living room facing east. I live in Florida and thought that as I get a shadow on the container when i hold my hand in front of it about six inches away. Not a great shadow, but a shadow. Is that enough light? I have other orchids on my porch that need more light, should my phal join them?
    Thanx...

I think it will be fine. It should send buds soon. The plant will know how to figure itself out and when to send the buds. Spikes vary in height. Generally a eastern windowsill will provide enough light, since they are not too demanding.
How long is the spike? Is this a new spike? or is it growing from the old one? Do you have a photo of the plant and growing area to show us?

Brother Lawrence is a yellow phal and shouldn't have spikes that are too tall.

I have some very tall spikes, but it is only on the large pinks and the large whites that give me tall spikes. Spikes that are so tall the plant can easily tip over...
I have noticed phals under low light can make longer spikes, and under low light (like in the winter in Canada) the spikes stall and don't produce blooms until the lighting is correct (or they give smaller blooms or reflexed petals).

I think tall arching spikes are a good thing, it helps make the inflorescence and blooms have better presentation. (not that I am phal judge or plan to win awards with phals...at least I don't think I'll ever show any phals at the moment...who knows)

Small round things don't come out of nodes. The buds don't develop on the nodes of the stem, but the develop on the tip of the elongating spike.

This is not a new spike. This one was in spike when i bought it about two months ago. It continues to grow and the roots look wonderful. The spike is about two foot tall, very impressive length to me, would have had five flowers per spike if i hadn't messed up and sat it under a heat vent. I lost a couple flowers per spike, i should mention there are two plants, each with one spike each. When i figure out how to upload a picture i'll add one. I am forever taking pictures of my orchids. Don't we all?
    Thanx all
