    Default Zygopetalum Jumping Jack???

The tag says Zygo Arthur Elle x Skippy Ku. Assuming 'Arthur' is 'Artur', this cross should be Jumping Jack. But the flower doesn't match any that I've seen of Jumping Jack clones. The petals are much longer and thinner, and the flower color is darker and not spotted.

This was actually the second plant of this cross I owned in 2 days. The first one I bought, was accidently placed next to sale plants and it got sold before I could fetch it to go home.

From the tag, one can assume that this is a seedling cross and not a mericlone. With any seedling cross there will be variances in the prodigy. So, one Zygo Arthur Elle x Skippy Ku. might look more like one parent and another seedling look like the other parent and others look anywhere in between. Some may even look like common ancestors of both.

The variety in crosses is amazing - but I have been disappointed once before when I was trying to work out what my phal would look like before it bloomed - quite different to the two pictures on the interent that I found.

Hey, but the more pictures that get posted, the better - that way future buyers will get a sense of the variety out there....

By the way - in the second photo, is it me, or does that look like a great mouth about to go in for the kill and devour something?

    Scared now!
