    Default how should I fertilize?

i'm living in sunny singapore where the weather is warm throughout the year. Most website wld encourage fertilizing orchids with high nitrogen for 3 months and switch to high potash after that.

I've fertilized using only 1/4 amt each time twice a week.. alternate between high nitrogen and high potash. Is this advisable? since orchids can only take in small amts at a time and i'm give high nitro and switch to high potash 3 days later.

Another qn here, my kagawara did not show any spikes since its the last flowers dropped a week back. Its said that they do not have any rest periods, so how long shd i wait till i can see a spike? I gave it 2 hrs of morning and 2 hrs evening light. I fertilized this in 1/8 amt alternative between high nitro and pot (same method as above) daily.

    Please advise.

Hi I like your fertilizing idea, its the same as what I do as the plants that I grow also dont have a rest period.

As for the Kagawara ,They may say that it has no rest period, but that is the growing cycle,It will flower when it is ready.

Using the same fert regime for a mixed bag of orchids will mean some will not probably like it(well not flower). Some Den's need a drier period with no fert to induce spikes , my Den kingianum will just produce keikes if i keep fertilizing it all the time.

But i heard that if high nitro is used for a period before switching to high potash, the plant will have high chances of getting fungus. And using high potash in between will help increase its resistance. I'm not sure about this. So any suggestions for the 'best' way out?
