Orchids are strange that way. Was one getting more light when you noticed the fragrance? Sometimes light has alot to do with how much fragrance an orchid will pump out. This past Sunday at my orchid society meeting, a lady brought in some orchids and she was talking about the overwhelming fragrance from one orchid and everyone was trying to 'smell' it, but it was gone. The air conditioning and lack of light in the room must have told it that it was not going to get pollinated there, so it turned off. lol.

You have beautiful blooms though. I especially like the white tip on the lower bloom. It gives it that extra something!

    Cheers,
    BD

Did you smell them at the same time? I have a miltonia that is only fragrant in the morning.

    Hi,

    thanks all for looking.
Yes I have smell them at the same time and they get same light and everything else both in S/H and stay together, strange but one of them ( second from top)
seems to have a scent all the time already one week and the other had a wonderful scent when it got it's first bloom but this time it has really only very weak scent...

They are doing this just to confuse and confound you. Label them carefully so that you can distinguish them the next time they flower and see if the fragrance difference holds true then also.

Lovely blooms! And the fragrance is such a great bonus with these species.

I have a phal species plant with non-fragrant blooms one year and with intoxicatingly fragrant blooms the next year!!! They are indeed very strange beasts ... heheheeeee ...
