The local grower is moving and had a "going out of business sale", so I picked up a few plants for cheep.
being new to the world of orchids, I had no idea what I was getting or what to do with them. After a little research I found vandas like bright light, warm temps and moist air.
This vanda was hanging under a rack, just off the floor. It has mineral deposits on the leaves, a few brown spots and a broken pot. Price, $5.00 US.
The tag says "Vanda, Aseda, John Debiase, orange". Any info would be helpfull.
How can I clean the calcium from the leaves?
Should I repot this, bare-root in a basket or leave it alone for now?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
