Phrag "Sorcerers Apprentice" in spike.

LOL.
just this week i decided to cut back on the fert to try to induce a spike
& it already was .
So it looks like the light from my East window is fine for the big lad.
Just noticed 2 new growths starting as well .
Boy this plant is going to be HUGE !!!!!!

This is the best shot(borrowed camera) with the light shining through the leaves.
Absoultely chuffed to bits seeing as though this is my first Phrag spike.

That is a mighty lovely phrag. you have there. I cannot recall the parents of Sorcerer's Apprentice at the moment, but I bet there is some longifolium in there somewhere...? Beautiful fan shape!

Longifolium x sargentianum.

I,m like a kid @ Christmas time .
It looks like the Fish,Blood & Bone fert i used didn,t do it any harm.
LS is now 38" & height is 24".
If the new fans are any thing like this 1 i,m going to have to get
a bigger house.

Hi Uncasteeb! What a gorgeous plant that is! I have a Sorcerer's Apprentice too, but it has quite a ways to go before blooming, I'm afraid. I can't wait until mine gets as beautiful and large as yours!! Make sure you post pics when it blooms!

Really great looking plant! I'm getting one of these tomorrow, as a matter of fact. Linda from Seagrove orchids is the speaker at my orchid society meeting and she's talking about phrags! I'm hoping they won't mind if I video it....

nice compact plant! i think you'll be pleased with the result though--most sorcerers are nicely colored with a pleasing contrast between the creams/greens and the reds.
