That is an epiphyllum. They are commonly night blooming and often fragrant. Propagated by cuttings. There is quite a large number of hybridized ones, of all colors, available now. Great plants, often called 'orchid cactus'.

This is some type of mexican night blooming cactus. the flower location is weird.

It is really a nice bloom, but it is in a weird location. LOL!

btw Diane, i thought the epiphyllum were those hanging epiphytic cactus from the tropics?. this thing looks like a typical cactus with nasty spines.

You are right about that not being an epiphyllum. I looked at the bloom and not the plant. Epis are flat or triangular, while the plant in your picture is definitely a standard cactus. Still a lovely plant.
PS I have my epiphyllum growing in potting mix with a little sand mixed in.
Its just growing in good ole Florida sand. Those are old Oak leaves on the top.
