    Default Paph Magic Lantern Jane (delenatii x micranthum)

    Haven't been here in a while but I just wanted you to know that I took this Magic Lantern to NY judging on the 21st of July.This was my 1st time ever going to judging but I was urged by people in a couple of forums to do so. The Paph Magic Lantern had had 68 awards before but I HIT THE JACKPOT with the highest award of the AOS,ever given this plant-- a CCE-(90 pts) so I am riding on cloud nine.I was able to give it a clonal name which took me by surprise so I called it Jane--(hardly vain at all am I?) .I figured with my age, I'd never ,ever get to do this again LOL.For those of you who haven't seen it perhaps on other forums here it is with 6 flower spikes & 1 bud.It is still in a 4" pot & every new growth had a spike.Thank goodness, it was pristine at judging time.

    These are absolutely gorgeous, and congratulations on your win!! What a wonderful feeling it must be, to cultive something so lovely, and then have it recognized with an award...and not just any award, but a CCE!! Spectacular growing!
