Box store ... umm... home improvement and garden center stores... every day, non-greenhouse stores, generally... without naming names, I think that's the best I can do (I was confused and had to ask, too.)

I'll try the neem and pray.

Good luck, I'd use it outside too - as a fellow asthmatic. I actually think neem stinks pretty bad, but that's just a personal opinion.

There is a simple solution. Dunk the entire plant is water for at least twenty minutes. Watch the plant if you have time. Any insects will be forced to come to the surface and hopefully drowned.

watch to see if they begin to spin webs, if they do, wipe them out. they sound a little like spidermites. Just google it to see. Good luck with them!, J

I saw some web-like things at the bottom of one of my phals, so I treated everything on 2 of my 3 shelves with neem oil today. Third shelf is my seedlings and they haven't shown any signs of pests.

Actually, the smell wasn't too bad... not great, but not overpowering like I thought it would be. Actually treated indoors. At least I won't have to worry if I need to use it during the winter.

On a different note: how fast does a Sharry Baby grow a spike, cuz I found one today that is 7" long that I could swear wasn't there last week?

Hehe. Thanks, BD. Yeah, I've got a 29" spike and a 16" one... none of them have gotten 'round to giving me buds. At least I know there's a possibility that I'm not losing my mind and maybe it wasn't there last week. :P

Thoughts on getting them to bud? Watering more frequently makes honey dew... My mom thought maybe cooler night temps, but unless I want to triple my electric bill I don't think that will happen for another month.

No, just let them do their thing. Spikes can get up to and sometimes over 3' on a Sharry Baby. The buds will come when the spike is more mature. Just enjoy the anticipation.

    Cheers,
    BD
