As luck would have it today I ran an errand at a box store in the area and of course had to at least check out the plant selection, promising though that I would only get something if it were something I really wanted.
And lo and behold, one last Nelly Isler, which was right at the top of my "Wish List"... For cheap too! It also has 6 more buds coming for a total of 10 flowers. (funny no one else who was with me seems nearly as excited as I am!)
(didn't have the patience for good pics, but just for kicks here are a couple)

Lovely! Nice find!
Can't post the name here, but if you turn on private messaging, I can tell you.
Lucky find! The one I got in our local supermaket as part of a buy one get one free £8.99 has been blooming it's head off for 2 months now, and still has 3 spikes which are covered in blooms! I love it! Judi
Geez the BBS around me don't have those at all let alone cheaply. Never tried growing that one though I've always liked it.
Great find!
Well, it was labeled as a "Cambria" just like everything else, but the sticky tag on the pot itself says Nelly Isler and it is pretty recognizable anyway - I knew what it must be the minute my friend pointed it out (I almost overlooked it - and only 5.99 Euro!)
Usually/mostly the stores have the standard phals, etc, but every once in awhile there are some I recognize. Have seen for example the Tahoma Glaciers and the Peggy Carpenters too before.
Very nice find! Nelly Isler is a reliable bloomer too. Bravo!
Cheers,
BD
