Actually, I DID have some mold or fungus! It was on my big ada glumacea. I sprayed it with Daconil, and now all is O.K. including the two huge spikes...Have a sunny day Cheryl. later, Betty
Hi Everyone, As some of you already know, I love to experiment. When at a "big box store" today, the person ahead of me had a big bag of cedar mulch on their cart. As I am presently having a pest/bug problem, I started to think...when I re-pot an orchid, could I use maybe 1/3 cedar mulch in with the fir bark, perlite, and charcoal? Maybe THAT would be better than using Cygon 2E. I do know that any kind of bug, insect HATES cedar! ( I just don't like to get all those goggles, gloves, clothes, etc. on to use the Cygon 2E ) Anyone ever use cedar mulch in re-potting an orchid? If so, what was the result? Did it repell/kill the bugs/insects? Betty in Texas :-)
